1. What are CAHAIA bags made from?
Each CAHAIA bag begins with vinyl discs recycled from materials that would otherwise be discarded. We never use collectible or playable records. Our custom labels are pressed onto the vinyl to honor and celebrate the musical heritage that inspired each piece, while creating a signature CAHAIA identity.

2. Are all bags identical?
Each handbag belongs to a collection inspired by a region or city, where every design reflects a music genre rooted in that culture. All handbags sharing the same name are identical, but each collection tells a distinct story, making every piece part of a curated, meaningful series.

3. How durable are vinyl record bags?
Although crafted from upcycled materials, CAHAIA bags are reinforced for strength and daily use. They are designed to be functional, statement pieces, both collectible and practical.

4. How should I care for my CAHAIA bag?
Handle your bag with care and avoid applying pressure or scratching the vinyl, as the surface can mark easily. Keep it away from dirty or rough surfaces to protect the label. Each bag includes a soft cloth in the packaging. Use it to gently clean your bag whenever needed.

5. Can I request a specific record or label?
At the moment, we can’t promise specific records or labels. Our bags are produced through a lengthy process. However, if there’s something special you have in mind, we would love to hear from you. Email us at cahaia@cahaiaculture.com, and we will see what’s possible together.

6. What fits inside the bag?
You might be surprised, a lot fits! The CAHAIA handbag comfortably holds a phone, wallet, sunglasses, small book, or other daily essentials. It offers the space and versatility of a medium-sized bag, while maintaining its sculptural form.

Shipping & Orders

7. Where do you ship from?
All CAHAIA orders ship directly from our studio in New York City.

8. How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 2–4 business days. Delivery times depend on your location and the shipping option selected at checkout.

9. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we currently ship to select countries. International delivery times may vary, and customs duties or import taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

Returns & Exchanges

10. What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery on unworn, unused items in their original packaging.  To start a return, please email us at cahaia@cahaiaculture.com with your order number.

Sustainability & Values

11. What does “upcycled” mean?
Upcycling means transforming existing materials into something new and meaningful. At CAHAIA, we partner with a factory that recovers and reworks vinyl made from materials that would otherwise go to waste (never collectible or playable records) giving them a second life as sculptural handbags. Vinyl records are made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride), a material that is not biodegradable and difficult to recycle through conventional processes. By working with a factory that specializes in this process, we extend the vinyl record's lifespan and turn it into something lasting, functional, and beautiful.
